It is a name of the book which i have recently read. I bought the book at book exhibition. Generally book exhibitions are conducted very often, since the book reading habit itself is low compared to some major cities. But I was very surprised to see that much amount of crowd in book exhibition. Very constructive development in temple city. Coming to the book, it is the book written by Mr.N.Chokkan. It covers the history of the Mr.Lawrence Page and Mr.Sergey Brin and how they happened to start a company and explains the way which google have crossed so far. It made some surprises like the name “google” was because of spelling mistake and their founders actually planned to mark it as “Googol”, Tamil name of the book itself is “Thaedu”. Though it is a tamil book it almost touches all the way that Google has traversed. But it does not go into much technichal part of the google like how it does it. A book that is worth reading to get more information about the company that rules the internet.

Sillunu Oru Kadhal
Posted by muthusivam on September 22, 2006
Title is very breezy and it gave much hype as the music was scored by A.R.Rahman and also it was planned to release before a week of Surya-Jo marriage. But the movie was not upto expectation. Upto the flashback where surya come as college guy the movie was good. But after the flashback, Thanks god, I had a mobile. So I escaped little bit. But a guy in front seat shouts that there were many cut in the movie. But the songs are very nice. Particularly Munbae va en anbae va, New York nagaram songs are nice. Though the movie was not much good, its songs are still tops the audio ratings. Surya looks good in some scenes and Bhoomika is cute in flashback scenes. Baby shreya’s voice is sweet and Sandhanam tried to evoke some humour. So Sillunu Oru Kadhal – Not Jammunu oru Kadhal…

FStival’06
Posted by muthusivam on September 22, 2006
This year FStival was celebrated on September 16. It was jointly celebrated by GLUGOT and GLUG-Madurai. Mr.Kenneth Goslaves from AUKBC presided over the function. He spoke about “How FOSS makes you a good programmer?”. Demo stalls were conducted for various GNU/Linux tools and the very attractive stall was XGL. It is Xtended Graphics Library, which is very amazing for everyone attended the session since they thought that GNU/Linux only has powerful console. It made them change their view. This year FStival has almost all seniors like Joe,Sap,Sen and Ranju. Hats off to all juniors who made this FStival a grand success.

It is the happiest news for people who have some attachment towards FOSS. Our college has introduced FOSS as default elective for final year CSE students. It will be very interesting to study those stuffs. Another reason to cherish is, We are the first batch in TCE to study FOSS in syllabus. Looking forward to study in syllabus. Cheers.:).
