It has touched 100 days since my arrival to Bangalore. All these days I could not find anything positive about this new A1 city. Traffic has been the main issue always. I could see couple of English movies while travelling from electronic city to Majestic which is almost just 25 km. There are over dozen of malls and few famous roads in a city where one could just go and do a window shopping. Nothing more than that. There are few parks which is not intended for its purpose. It is helping few people for SOME OTHER purposes. Next comes the issue of dressing. I still wonder whether these girls are not having enough sense to choose dressing like this or they wantedly dressing like this. Grr.. Grr.. Next I would like to share some “sweet” issue. Though I like idly, sambar and sweets, here I have no other go than eating those by morning. For the first time I have tasted idlys with sweets(sambar). Just because of this cool climate and for the sake of money, still I am staying at Bangalore.

Rise of Team India…
Posted by muthusivam on September 25, 2007
Finally Team India emerged as a champions of inaugural T20 world cup. After being beaten by New Zealand it was a doubtful situation that whether it will reach semi final or not. Every game was a must win situation for India to stay in this mega series. But India won every matches beautifully. This is a welcome move that India is not fully banking on its Big 3 stars and the youngsters have started playing really well. Since it was match between India – Pakistan I was very eager to see it. Same thought was echoed in most people’s mind. Because I saw many of my friends went to home earlier to see the match. I was also surprised to see the roads traffic free. Even city bus was also not carrying much crowd. But I managed to see final overs alone at a nearby hotel. When Irfan took couple of wickets looks like India will win easily. But as usual they let a dangerous guy Misban to stay at crease. Result is six 6’s came in the span of 2 overs. Now the entire match looks changed. 6 runs to win from 5 balls. Next came a dot ball. Oh! Yet another match with thriller finish. Now Misban tried to sweep a ball from Joginder which was safe in Sreesanth’s hand. Hurray… India won by 5 runs. India has won the final of a major series nearly after 2 decades. It was great to see Indians jumping in joy. Crackers and slogans praising Indian cricket team were already started. Hats off to those guys who made a dream come true.

Smileys turn 25… :)
Posted by muthusivam on September 21, 2007
After CD’s it is smiley’s turn to age 25. Smileys are used as generic term to show emotions. It was first created to show pleasure and displeasure. Now it has become a culture to express every emotions through smileys with various image representations. It was found by Scott Fahlman. He used smileys to show emotions in CMU bulletin board. Eventhough Kevin Mackenzie has tried to simulate smileys in a different way his efforts went in vain. Kevin tried “-)” to represent “tongue in cheek”. It doesn’t work well. But Scott used “:-)” to show pleasure and “:-(” to show displeasure. It gains popularity also because of the internet boom. I found this link giving more smileys and their meaning…

New life @ Bangalore…
Posted by muthusivam on September 2, 2007
Nearly 3 months have gone since my joining at bangalore (currently renamed to bengaluru) also for my blogging. At times i will think of blogging about something happening in and around me. But I didn’t. Looking forward to continue blogging at least from now on wards. Corporate life is so far so good. Learning new stuffs during weekdays and weekend looks like returning to my college life since i used to spend it with my classmates Senthil, Subramani and Praveen. As usual having fun like kidding each other and making few calls to Vanni and Sriram. So that they too join us. As of now we went to Lal Bagh, M.G.Road, Commercial Street, Brigade Road and all shopping malls. On the day of independence we went to Bhara Chukki Falls at Sivasamuthira which is on the way to Kollegal. Its near to the birth place of River Cauveri. Thats really cool except the return trip to Bangalore. Of these 3 months significant one needs to be mentioned happened a week back. We managed to see 4 movies at a row entire night even though nothing was very good. Veerappu and Greedom was ok but Thottal Poo malarum and Aarya was really very horrible to watch. Had a small sleep then again back into action by started watching Pallikoodam. Because of our eagerness to watch these movies Mani’s neighbors too had a sleepless night it seems!!! Hereafter looking forward to enjoy without disturbing others…
