Finally a much awaited K.S.RaviKumar & Kamal Haasan’s Dasavathaaram got released after long wait of 3 years. But still it managed to live upto the expectations. Right from the opening scene everyone were seen agape at the movie. Stunt, visual effects, music every field is fantastic. Ulaga Naayagan has once again proved that he is the emperor of Indian cinema industry. It is quite a new concept to Indian cinema particularly to tamil cinema industry, chaos theory i.e in one sentence “A dynamic system is highly sensitive to initial conditions”. Since this sounds interesting we had a long discussion about world system, cause and effect, butterfly effect and historical truth about the movie, Leaving the conclusion to induvidual to guess, so as the movie.

Kallori – Movie Review
Posted by muthusivam on December 8, 2007
Hmmm.. Nowadays blogging becoming bit tough. So a small post within the short time. Nearly after 4 months I watched a movie at theatre at Bangalore. Today went to Kallori with my friends and seniors. This is the first time I am watching second show.
. Though the story has nothing new, screenplay was nice. First half is really good. It is a perfect blend of comedy and sentiment. Second half mainly aims to be more sentiment. Each and every individual character has been well shaped and everyone acted really well. Particularly hero Akhil and heroine Tamana acted really well. Songs are mind boggling. But the climax is somewhat etching me. IMHO it could have been done better.

Sivi
Posted by muthusivam on October 19, 2007
Hmmm. Last weekend again we managed to see 5 movies. But not at a stretch. Remarkable one is Sivi. Without revealing the storyline I am just giving in what situation we saw that movie and what impact it has made on us. Actually it was my friend who stimulated us to see it. It was very interesting. Though the story is not much new, screenplay was good and that made us to watch it. Some of my friends were even afraid of that ghost and heard that they lost their sleep that night. :) Somehow I managed to sleep well that night… :)

Shivaji – The Boss, Audio release
Posted by muthusivam on April 8, 2007
A movie which has icons of tamil(indian) cinema in field of acting, direction and music. For the first time rajnikanth, shankar and a.r.rahman have joined hands. This gives much hype to the movie. AFAIK this is the first time that rajnikanth takes more than a year for a single movie. Audio songs were released last week. Though 2 songs were released on internet before the official release i thought of waiting and gettin it once it is officially released. And i got it too. Hearing first time i wonder whether these are the songs which i have been waiting to hear for more than a year. But while listening next time i understood that my previous assumption was wrong. All the songs rock. Particularly the song “Balleilakka” which i guess as a introduction song for rajni is cool. Theme music too sizzles. Melodious “Sahara pookal, vaa ji vaa ji” are mind boggling. “Oru kodi sun light” song is at top but i wonder how the superstar dances in this song. “Athiradi, The boss” songs are very good to hear. Movie can be seen atleast twice for songs itself. There is a news that movie will be releasing on May 17. Eagerly waiting for its release. It is happy to see that A.R.Rahman is back in action. It is sure that sivaji will be block buster of this year.

Varalaru:
Posted by muthusivam on November 1, 2006
A much awaited film for Ajith, Varalary was released. Today I went to that movie at Madhi theatre. Our entry into theatre was little bit late. We entered when “Illamai….” song was running. All songs were nice. Picturisation of songs too were good. “Kammakarayila…” song could have been done better. Ajith’s performance is good and it is a welcome move that he had worked hard for given roles. Kanika has little to do. She did it well. Asin comes for maximum of 15 or 20 minutes excluding the songs. But she is cute. The movie looks different upto the end of flashback scene. But after those scenes, it looks like a typical tamil movie showing police personalities as comedians and villain attacks each policeman without the knowledge of another policeman standing nearby and somemore. Also logic makes a big hole. Neverthless Varalaru – GodFather.

Sillunu Oru Kadhal
Posted by muthusivam on September 22, 2006
Title is very breezy and it gave much hype as the music was scored by A.R.Rahman and also it was planned to release before a week of Surya-Jo marriage. But the movie was not upto expectation. Upto the flashback where surya come as college guy the movie was good. But after the flashback, Thanks god, I had a mobile. So I escaped little bit. But a guy in front seat shouts that there were many cut in the movie. But the songs are very nice. Particularly Munbae va en anbae va, New York nagaram songs are nice. Though the movie was not much good, its songs are still tops the audio ratings. Surya looks good in some scenes and Bhoomika is cute in flashback scenes. Baby shreya’s voice is sweet and Sandhanam tried to evoke some humour. So Sillunu Oru Kadhal – Not Jammunu oru Kadhal…
